ARSAL, Lebanon: A Lebanese national from the northeastern town of Arsal has allegedly been executed by ISIS and another resident of the town was killed in his home, security sources said Sunday. The murder of Younis Hujeiri, reportedly abducted by Syrian gunmen in January, was claimed by ISIS Sunday. Photographs purporting to show his beheaded body were sent by members of the group to a number of cellphones. Hujeiri, who owned a quarry in town, had allegedly been abducted by gunmen following a personal dispute.

The sources explained that Hujeiri was believed to have been close to armed groups, including ISIS, and was involved in weapons trafficking.

The sources added that if Hujeiri had in fact been killed, his death likely resulted from a dispute with the group over money or weapons.
