Jesus The King And Our Lady Of Harissa Are Here To Stay

Khazen.org will not allow itself to answer sectarian and disrespectful speeches towards Christians and Muslims in Lebanon but there's a very important matter that needs to be clarified in regards to religious shrines and symbols in Lebanon, specially the ones mentioned yesterday.

Jesus the King shrine and Our Lady of Harissa shrines were both built on private Christian property and did not violate by any means a public space. They were not placed in a public square like the Allah sign in Tripoli and were not placed for political reasons by a certain political party.  If we go back in history, Our Lady of Harissa was built in 1907 during the French mandate and the land was donated by a Cheikh from the noble Khazen family.  It remains a pilgrimage for all Lebanese Christians and Muslims.
