29 bullets. Hassan Ezzedine, a volunteer driver for the Islamic Medical Association, counted every bullet hole after being released from captivity and returning to the wreck of his former ambulance. First, they aimed at the tires. Then they shot directly at the car. The paramedic got hit by two bullets in the hip. The patient, a wounded Syrian, was shot again, this time in the leg. The other Syrian who accompanied him took a bullet to the chest.

Ezzedine wasn’t hurt, not even a scratch. But he didn’t have time to feel lucky. The shooters were neither Lebanese soldiers nor police officers.  They dragged him out of the ambulance, threw him in their own jeep, blindfolded him, and took him away.  [Link]
