President Michel Sleiman is expected to make a historical visit to Australia in the next few weeks. He will be the first president since the Independence to make an official visit to Australia.

The President of the Republic General Michel Sleiman had received few days ago at the Presidential Palace of Baabda the Head of the Commerce and Industry Chamber in Sidney Australia Joe Khattar and  the owner of the Nahar Newspaper of Australia who conveyed to him the Lebanese eagerness for his visit to Australia.
